NATURAL, ORGANIC, BOUTIQUE STYLE SERVICES
OAHU, HAWAII
Today’s modern lifestyle is increasingly sedentary, stressful and toxic, causing our bodies and minds to become overburdened and undernourished. Under these circumstances, it is no surprise that the natural rhythm and flow of our bodies can get interrupted.
My goal as a Lymphatic Drainage Therapist is to restore balance and flow to my clients. Spending the time necessary to get to know each client on a personal level is of the utmost importance to me. I love and respect the fact that everybody and every BODY is different, and I’d like to meet you where you’re at. Together we can work towards mental, physical, and emotional alignment.
My Body Care Philosophy
“As my first lymphatic massage experience, I had never felt such relief of my sinuses and total relaxation. Bridgette was professional, genuine and truly cared about my concerns and long-term health.”
I’m Bridgitte Wehilani Mclnerny,
Owner and founder of Wehilani Lymphatic Drainage & Body Care. I created this service-based business out of a deep desire to share my knowledge and experience on all things lymphatics and it’s impact on health.
I have spent my entire adult life in dedication to deepening my understanding of health and wellness spanning various modalities, belief systems, practices, and schools of learning. I have worked in health research, ophthalmology, case management, patient advocacy, community engagement, substance abuse counseling, Native Hawaiian Health, and more. With a Masters Degree in Public Health, a license in Massage Therapy, and over a decade of experience in health and social services, I believe that I am well equipped to help clients restore the balance, vitality and flow that they desire.
As a provider of a health and wellness service, I feel that it is my duty to be healthy and well myself! When I’m not working, I enjoy exercising, dancing, reading articles on health research, and going to the beach with my 2 children!

WHY DO I NEED A LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE SESSION?
Your lymphatic system operates similarly to your circulatory system, except that it doesn’t have a pump (your heart). Therefore, it relies on alternative methods to move lymph: movement and exercise, diaphragmatic breathing, and manual therapy (lymphatic drainage treatment).
Incorporating these 3 exercises encourages the flow of lymph. Lymphatic drainage treatment stimulates lymphatic vessels, and gently coaxes the lymph towards the lymph nodes, where it can filter out waste and toxins.
Lymphatics 101
-
The Lymphatic System
Is one of the most important systems in our body.
It’s proper functioning is critical to our body’s ability to detoxify, regenerate and maintain a healthy balance.
-
What is it?
The lymphatic system is a network of lymphatic vessels, lymph, lymph nodes, and lymphoid organs.
This network spans throughout your entire body, and is an integral part of your immune system.
-
The Lymph
Lymph is a colorless watery fluid that circulates throughout your body transporting metabolic waste, proteins, hormones, digestive fats, bacteria, viruses, and more.
Lymph delivers harmful substances and waste products to the lymph nodes to be filtered and destroyed, while simultaneously delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues throughout your body.
-
Lymphatic Backup
When the lymphatic system becomes congested, waste and toxins accumulate in your tissues, hormone balance is disrupted, digestion slows, and your body becomes inflamed and imbalanced. Often times, this results in a vicious cycle whereby conditions and disease emerge, which causes further lymphatic backup, which worsens conditions and disease.
What People Are Saying
“The best way I can describe Bridgitte’s work is magic. She’s able to listen to what the body is telling her, what the person is telling her, and also communicate with the seen and unseen of the moment. As someone who is frequently traveling, with the standard flight being at least 8 hours, lymphatic work has become critical to keeping myself whole in mind, body and spirit to do the work I do for the community and for the world. But it’s also a way to come back to myself. And for that, I’m super super grateful. Overall, for those of us who are working to better ourselves, Bridgitte really meets us where we’re at, literally and metaphorically. The fact that she’s a mobile service is such a blessing for me- just being able to stay in one place and cut down the time it takes me to commute. I’m more likely to make time for myself and my wellness depending on how accessible the healing modality is. Bridgitte makes healing possible, and also makes me feel like I’m part of the process. It’s not just her. She’s activating and catalyzing within me the parts of myself that I know are there, but just need to be kind of unearthed and revealed.”

“If you are looking to get lymphatic massages done, Bridgitte is your girl! I have a medical condition called Lipedema which requires lymphatic massage regularly as one of the preventative measures. So I was looking for someone who did lymphatic massages on island. I found Bridgitte and I have been going monthly ever since! She was familiar with lipedema, made me feel comfortable from the very first visit and she tailors the massage to my specific needs. She is a bubbly and vibrant person to be around! I look forward to my monthly lymphatic massages with her! If you’re thinking of booking one, do it! These massages are good and beneficial for EVERYONE so It’s worth every penny and I promise, you will not regret it! Oh yea, and shes mobile! She will come to you and that is such a plus for ones with busy schedules!!!”

Frequency of visit varies from person to person. How often someone should be seen depends on their current health status, their goals for treatment, and their lifestyle. However, if I had to recommend a general treatment plan, I would say at least 1 session per month for 3-4 months, followed by a maintenance session every 4-6 months, or as you see fit. I also recommend having a session before and after flying, after recovering from a cold or virus, and anytime you notice that you are feeling extra heavy, puffy, or are experiencing digestive issues. And anytime you want to look a little extra sculpted for a special event or appearance

A lymphatic drainage massage should NEVER hurt. This type of treatment uses light rhythmic strokes to encourage the flow of lymph. The skin is gently stretched and pulled in the direction of flow. Although the abdominal area can be a little extra sensitive for some folks, it should never HURT.
-
Absolutely! Lymphatic drainage treatment is great for helping to ease many of the common discomforts that come along with menstruation such as cramping, bloating, and fluid retention. As long as you are comfortable having a session during your cycle, I am totally comfortable with seeing you.
